The Alfred Duma Local Municipality has, via the National Treasury transversal contract RT29/2024, appointed the Vodacom consortium to manage the prepaid electricity vending services with effect from 01 October 2026. The vending system will be managed by Ontec Systems (Pty) Ltd who is part of the consortium. This notice explains where customers will be able to purchase prepaid electricity, when the online channels will become available and how first-time users can register for access to the system.
From the effective date of 01 October 2026, customers will be able to purchase prepaid electricity
through the following channels:
Customers can also purchase prepaid electricity online via the “Alfred Duma LM Utilities” Web
Application: https://alfredduma.ontec.co.za/
First-Time Users: From 01 October 2026 , click on Sign Up on the Web Application to register.
Prepaid electricity can also be purchased via the “Alfred Duma LM Utilities” Mobile Application,
which will be available from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
Please note : The Mobile Application will only be available from 01 November 2026.
First-Time Users : Please follow the same registration process used for the Web Application.
Registered Users :If you have already registered via the Web Application, go to the Sign In page.
