Residents of Nancefield in Musina woke up to the sound of rakes and refuse bags, as the Community Works Programme (CWP) joined forces with the Community Services Department for a clean-up campaign.
Teams moved through the area collecting litter, clearing illegal dumping spots and tidying public spaces, all with one goal: to keep Musina town clean and healthy for everyone.
Organisers say a clean environment is not only about appearance as it also protects residents from disease and makes Musina a place people can be proud of.
They urged the community to play their part by using bins, avoiding illegal dumping and joining future clean-up campaigns.
