MAHLOBO STREET SET FOR REHABILITATION

Wesselton - Our Road Maintenance Programme continues across Msukaligwa Local Municipality (MLM), with Mahlobo Street in Wesselton, Ward 4, officially handed over to the contractor by our Executive Mayor, Alderwoman M.P. Nkosi, on Tuesday, 28 July 2026.

The Executive Mayor was accompanied by Municipal Manager, Mr. M Kunene, and directors from various municipal departments as MLM officially marked the start of rehabilitation works on the 470-metre section of Mahlobo Street.

The project will address distressed asphalt and improve road conditions, providing residents and motorists with a better, safer route.

The rehabilitation is expected to be completed by late August, with the road works also creating opportunities for local participation through the employment of local people and the involvement of local SMMEs supplying 10m³ tipper trucks.

The rehabilitation of Mahlobo Street forms part of the municipality's ongoing efforts to improve road infrastructure across Msukaligwa and ensure that investment in service delivery reaches communities where it is needed most.
