NOTICE OF MULTI-PURPOSE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTS TO OBTAIN COMMUNITY INPUT ON THE INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT PLAN (IDP) AND SPATIAL DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK (SDF), AND TO RECEIVE WARD COUNCILLOR FEEDBACK

Cape Agulhas Municipality invites all residents, community organisations, businesses, and other stakeholders to participate in a series of community engagements taking place throughout the Municipality.

Purpose and format of the engagements

13:30 – 17:30 (Open House Drop-in Session)

Residents may drop in at any time during the day to:

  • Visit municipal information tables and engage directly with municipal officials.
  • Raise ward-specific concerns and discuss matters affecting their community.
  • Identify and discuss priorities for inclusion in the Municipality’s new five-year Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and Spatial Development Framework (SDF).

Evening Community Meeting

The daytime drop-in session will be followed by a formal community meeting where residents will have the opportunity to:

  • Participate in a discussion on community priorities and provide further input into the Municipality’s new five-year IDP and SDF.
  • Receive feedback from the Ward Councillor on matters affecting the ward.

Your attendance and active participation at the engagements are of utmost importance in order to enhance participatory democracy in Cape Agulhas Municipality.
