POWER FAILURE NOTICE - WESELTON
28 September 2026 [20:38]Please take note that the power supply is currently off at Extension 1 and Extension 2 due to a burnt-out MV termination end.
The standby team is currently attending to the repairs to restore power as soon as possible.
All residents are urged to treat all electrical connection points as live during this period.
Do not touch or work on any electrical equipment or connection points until power has been confirmed to be safely isolated.
Residents are also encouraged to remain vigilant and be on the lookout for suspected cable theft or suspicious activity in the area during this period.
Cable theft affects both the municipality and residents, causing further power interruptions, damage to infrastructure, and delays in restoring electricity.
Residents are requested to report any suspicious activity to the relevant authorities immediately and not to confront suspected cable thieves.
We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience, cooperation, and vigilance while the repairs are being carried out.
