Temporary overnight water interruption to improve supply in Soshanguve L-25 October 2026

1 min read45 views

The City of Tshwane has noted a renewed drop in water levels at Soshanguve L

Reservoir, affecting supply to areas served by the water tower.

The city will temporarily close the reservoir's main outlet tonight to allow water levels

to rise sufficiently for pumping to the tower.

This intervention is intended to improve water availability and stabilise supply to areas

served by both the reservoir and the tower.

Supply to both systems is expected to resume early tomorrow morning, provided

reservoir levels recover sufficiently. Teams will continue monitoring water levels and

supply.

Customers who still have water are urged to use it sparingly to support recovery.

The city apologises for the inconvenience and thanks residents for their patience and

cooperation.
