On Tuesday, 20 October 2026, the City of Tshwane Energy and Electricity Business Unit will carry out critical electricity infrastructure refurbishment at W Substation in Soshanguve
The critical work will be complemented by energising the 11 kV underground cables connected to the newly refurbished W Secondary Substation in Soshanguve.
Unfortunately, power supply to the following areas will be interrupted for eight hours, from 08:00 to 16:00:
This proactive work forms part of ongoing efforts to improve the reliability, safety and continuity of electricity supply to the area. Affected customers are therefore urged to make the necessary arrangements to minimise the impact of the planned interruption.
The City of Tshwane apologises for the inconvenience that may be caused as a result of the above-mentioned work.
Customers are urged to treat all electrical installations as live throughout the duration of the interruption.
