The City of Tshwane has been informed by Magalies Water of an urgent planned shutdown of the water outflow from the Klipdrift Water Treatment Works to allow for the installation of an isolation valve on the bulk water supply pipeline. The work is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 14 July 2026 .
According to Magalies Water, the essential maintenance will be carried out over a period of 15 hours, from 09:00 to 00:00 .
The following areas supplied by the Klipdrift Water Treatment Works will be affected:
Residents and businesses in the affected areas are encouraged to store sufficient water in advance and to use water sparingly throughout the interruption period.

- Report water leaks, burst pipes and any incidents of water wastage to the City.
- Install water-saving devices wherever possible.
