A Provincial Communications forum meeting took place in Upington earlier today.
The forum drew together all the municipal Communicators of the Northern Cape province. It was organised by GCIS, SALGA and Gogta.
Opening the forum on behalf of the Mayor of the Dawid Kruiper municipality, Councillor Solly Abel, emphasised the importance of Communications as a strategic function in local government.
The two day forum is drawing to a close tomorrow.This will also be the last forum meeting where legendary government communicator, Tisetso Ramotse of GCIS, presented training. He retires at the end of this month after an illustrious career in government communication.
